Todd Milliken on the Issues
Todd is running for State Representative to bring a practical, independent voice to Concord and to represent the people of Madison, Moultonborough, and Tamworth. His priorities focus on issues that directly affect working families and our communities: restoring common-sense politics, ending New Hampshire’s role as a solid-waste receiver state, fully supporting public schools, and reducing the influence of big money in politics
Bring Politics Back to the Middle
Discuss. Negotiate. Compromise. Move Forward.
New Hampshire works best when representatives put problem-solving ahead of party loyalty. Todd believes the extreme polarization that has taken hold in Concord and Washington is failing the people of Carroll County. Real progress happens when elected officials sit down, listen to all sides, and find practical solutions that most citizens can support.
As State Representative, he will prioritize civil dialogue, honest negotiation, and the willingness to compromise so that legislation actually moves New Hampshire forward instead of grinding to a halt in endless partisan gridlock.
End New Hampshire’s Role as a Solid-Waste Receiver State
Stop Out-of-State Trash from Burdening Our Communities
New Hampshire has become a major destination for solid waste trucked in from other states. This out-of-state trash is turning us into a regional dumping ground, placing an unfair burden on our landfills, roads, and natural resources while threatening the clean water and quality of life that define the Granite State.
Todd will work to reverse this trend by supporting stronger limits on imported waste, fair regional agreements, and policies that protect New Hampshire’s environment and ensure we are no longer the preferred receiver state for other states’ garbage
Public Money for Public Schools
Fully Fund the Classrooms That Serve Every Child
Every New Hampshire child deserves a high-quality education in a well-supported public school. Todd believes taxpayer dollars should prioritize the public school system that educates the vast majority of our students—rather than being diverted in ways that weaken local schools.
He will fight for adequate, sustainable funding that allows communities like Madison, Moultonborough, and Tamworth to attract and retain excellent teachers, maintain facilities, and give every student the tools they need to succeed.
Get Big Money Out of Politics
Restore Trust by Reducing Special-Interest Influence
When large donors and special-interest groups dominate campaign finance, everyday citizens lose their voice. Todd supports reasonable reforms that increase transparency, limit the outsized role of big money, and make elections more about ideas and accountability than about fundraising.
By reducing the influence of wealthy outside interests, we can help ensure that elected officials remain focused on the people they represent—not the donors who write the biggest checks.
Representing District 3
Representing Madison, Moultonborough & Tamworth
Todd’s approach to all three issues starts in the same place: listening to the people he represents. Madison, Moultonborough, and Tamworth are distinct communities, but residents share many of the same concerns about affordability, schools, taxes, and responsive government.
Todd will bring those concerns with him to Concord and put the people of Carroll County District 3 ahead of special interests.
